Mr.
Edward R. Torrence
has been, for many years, an active member in good
standing of the California State Bar Association, The San
Diego County Bar Association, The Family Law Section of
the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego Trial
Lawyers Association and the Foothills Bar Association. He
has served on the Board of directors of the Foothills Bar
Association since 1998. He is also a member of the
California Deuce Defenders, an association of attorneys
dedicated to defending clients accused of Drunk Driving
Offenses.

Mr. Torrence
is active in the "Continuing Legal Education of the Bar"
program,
participating in more than 30 hours of continuing legal
education each year, far in excess of the minimum
continuing legal education required for active members of
the California Bar Association. He is a regular
participant in the yearly seminars of the California Deuce
Defenders. He is also a presenter of legal education
material for other attorneys on a number of subjects.

Mr. Torrence
has received a number of recognitions and awards for his
professional accomplishments including a Navy Achievement
Medal for Superior Performance of Professional Duties,
Navy Commendation Medal for Outstanding Performance of
Professional Duties, and San Diego County Bar Association
Outstanding Service Award. He is also a recipient of the
National Defense Service Medal and has been honored in
Strathmore's Who's Who in America (1996.)

Through his law practice, Mr. Torrence
provides volunteer service to the San Diego community.
Voluntary service has been provided as Judge Pro Tem of the
San Diego Superior Court, attorney for the Domestic Violence
Project, attorney for the Family Law Facilitator, attorney for
the Volunteer Lawyers of San Diego, attorney for the San Diego
County Bar Association Law Day Program and mentor for the Pepperdine University School of Law Mentorship Program.
